AbstractPop represents an interesting experiment in contemporary art where the principles of abstraction are fused with the aesthetics of pop art. The intention is clear: to reinterpret abstraction through the lens of pop art. The artist draws inspiration from iconic pop art works, where famous people and commercial products were reproduced in bright colors on uniform backgrounds. However, in this case, the images of celebrities are replaced with abstract forms, distinctive to the artist's pictorial practice, contributing to a visual dialogue where abstraction is made more accessible and "pop." The 24 works, despite being individual, contribute to a single, large work measuring 240 by 160 centimeters that celebrates the beloved concepts of pop art, applying them to abstract language. AbstractPop therefore presents itself as a contemporary artwork capable of stimulating reflection on the democratization of art and its ability to adapt to new languages and platforms.
